We offer a complete range of scuba diving classes, from Discover Scuba through Dive Master, Instructor, and Technical Diving. Our state-of-the art dive facility offers your a full-range retail store, comfortable learning environment, modernized gas filling system and a full range of rental equipment.
MEET the ABYSS SCUBA TEAM
Randy
Randy started Abyss Scuba in 2008. With a life-long passion for the oceans it was only natural for Randy to get involved in SCUBA and become an instructor. After almost 20 years of being an independent instructor and working in the scuba industry, Randy decided to give Westchester its first NAUI and PADI facility.
Randy's wish for every diver is to become a steward of the ocean and help preserve this amazing world that only a few are allowed to see. His approach to dive instruction is to help the student understand and gain knowledge of their own.
Randy is Abyss Scuba's head mate, chief, cook and bottler washer, and purveyor of all things fine diving. Oh, he's also the owner.
If you have a question about anything, SCUBA-related or not, he will share his knowledge with you and throw in a free story.

I started SCUBA diving in the Bahamas in in 2009. I instantly felt like a fish in the water. I finally had found what I had always been searching for.
After I got certified I wanted my girlfriend to be able to share this life-changing experience with me. We checked out a couple of stores in and around New York city and finally found Abyss Scuba.
We immediately felt at home with Randy and his crew. Randy's incredibly deep knowledge of anything Scuba, Ocean and Life as well as the crew. I knew that this is the place I would want my fiancée to get certified.
I am currently an apprentice at Abyss on my way to become a Dive Master. Diving is not a sport or a hobby. Diving is a lifestyle. Once you experienced it, there is no going back, or as Jacques Cousteau so eloquently put it: "The sea, once it cast its spell, holds one in its net forever." I am hooked!

John was born into a family of photography and is a published photographer in his own right. His father was the last man to still sell to the small dealer. He has a love of photography both on its artistic and technical levels. He loves to discuss photography, cameras, and his experience on numerous live-aboards.

Fascinated by Jacques Cousteau's fabulous documentaries about the oceans as a small child and dreaming of visiting that world first hand it was only natural for me to become certified. I am working to become a Dive Master with Abyss Scuba. That moment, when you descend into a world of wonder and gliding through the beauty with all its wondrous creatures is my meditation.
